What is Health Care Heroes?
For over 20 years, Crain's Detroit Business has recognized Health Care Heroes — leaders in the field who have gone above and beyond to improve care, make a difference and save lives.
What categories can I submit a nomination in?
- Corporate Achievement Hero: Individuals who significantly contributed to the growth of their health care organizations and positively impacted the industry and their communities
- Administrator Hero: Executive-level leaders who developed creative health care programs, processes or plans that improved employee and patient experiences
- Physician Hero: Doctors with proven track records as clinicians who use novel techniques to improve quality of care
- Allied Health Hero: Nurses and other allied health workers with records of exemplary and innovative work
- Advancements in Care Hero: Individuals or organizations that have discovered or developed groundbreaking procedures, devices, programs or services that save lives and improve quality of life
How do I nominate someone?
Visit our nomination page. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one before you can proceed with the nomination form. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox web browsers to complete your application.
What's the deadline for nominations?
March 26, at 11:59 p.m. EST
Can I call you to make sure my nomination went through?
No need. The nomination platform will confirm receipt of a completed submission. Please resist the urge to make follow-up calls or send emails.
Can I fax or mail in my nomination?
No. Only submissions that come to us via the online form will be accepted.
Can I call you to pitch my candidate?
Judges will only consider candidates with submitted nomination forms. Pitching your candidate will not help them win.
When will honorees be notified?
Honorees will be notified approximately 5 weeks before publication day.
If I have not heard from Crain's by June 24, does that mean my nominee was not selected?
Yes, that would be a fair assumption.
When does the story appear in print?
On CrainsDetroit.com on Oct. June 24, 2024, and in that day's print edition.
